Interested in how white communities can take action against white supremacy as it shows up in our policing and criminal justice system?
Join us for a working meeting to plan...
1) Social Media campaign to educate white communities on police institutions rooted in white supremacy.
2) Identify other campaigns and actions in Atlanta we can support.
3) Your ideas! Come with ideas if you have them on ways white people can help advance an abolitionist agenda (or to learn what that means).
Parking is in the paved lot behind the church. Enter from the back by walking up the stairs and through the playground. Signs will be out to assist. The building is also accessible by MARTA.
SURJ Atlanta is a predominantly white membership-based organization that seeks to help white communities and individuals do anti-racist work in our own communities, instead of asking Black and PoC to do everything. This organizing meeting will do work focusing on what education and work white people can do, however, all are welcome to participate.
